Deer Creek Safety Initiative

The Deer Creek Safety Initiative is a new campaign aimed at raising funds to increase safety preparedness for all Deer Creek Schools, students, and teachers. The money raised will purchase door safety devices for over 1,200 doors throughout the District.

Your contribution, along with those of other donors, patrons, and businesses throughout the community, will help the Deer Creek Schools Foundation achieve its mission of building strong community support and advancing excellence for Deer Creek Schools.

*Please note: Once a school, classroom, or area has been fully funded, donations will be directed to the next greatest area of need within the Safety Initiative.

CASH FOR CLASSROOMs GRANT

The Deer Creek Schools Foundation was awarded a 2024 Casey's Cash for Classrooms grant. The $45,000 grant is the largest grant Casey's has ever given in Oklahoma.

Grant funds are earmarked for the DCS Foundation's Safety Initiative to increase safety preparedness to

purchase door safety devices for more than 1,200 doors throughout the Deer Creek Public School

District.

“We are grateful to receive a Cash for Classrooms grant from Casey’s and are excited to announce that we have reached our fundraising goal,” said Alex Looper, Deer Creek Schools Foundation Executive Director. “Casey’s is a great community partner that gives back to our community.”

“This year, the DCS Foundation committed to its first standalone fundraising campaign to raise funds

towards door safety devices for each the vital doors at our school sites. The needs of our district are

ever-evolving, but a consistent top priority for all of us as a district, foundation, parent and as a community is safety - especially when it comes to children," said Looper.
